What counts as an "agent"?
Any distinct automated process or service that uses a BotWallet virtual card. A single LangChain agent, a CrewAI crew, or an AutoGPT instance each count as one agent.
How does BotWallet enforce spending limits?
Limits are enforced in real time via Lithic's Auth Stream Access (ASA) protocol. Every authorization hits BotWallet before the transaction clears — not after the fact. Decisions are made in under 2 seconds.
Is the free tier really free?
Yes. No credit card required. The Starter tier is designed for developers evaluating BotWallet for a single-agent workflow. We make money when you scale.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Yes. Plan changes take effect on the next billing cycle. Downgrading to Starter caps your active cards and agents at the plan limits.
What happens if a transaction exceeds the daily limit?
The authorization is declined in real time by BotWallet before the charge posts. A DECLINE record with rule_id RULE_DAILY_LIMIT is written to your audit log.
